The Ottawa River Riders (ORR) is a group of non brand specific motorcycle enthusiasts in the Ottawa region. All riders (and passengers) are welcome to join the ORR. Our motto is "Friends Riding Together".
During the summer months we have Club Rides every second Sunday, led by our club Ride Captain. All members are encouraged to participate in these rides. In addition, members start the riding season off with our annual `spring tune-up' BBQ, and later in the season we have a summer fun BBQ along with various other club get-togethers. In September we host our own annual club charity event, the Guide Dog Dice Run to raise money for the Canadian Guide Dogs for the Blind. This event has raised tens of thousands of dollars over the years and we are proud of and greatly appreciate the participation and assistance of our club members. Click Here to view the 2013 flyer.
We are primarily a social riding club and encourage our members to become actively involved in the various events in which we participate; for example, we are affiliated with the Sears Great Canadian Run and provide blockers to assist in the “Run to End Kids’ Cancer” (http://thesearsgreatcanadianrun.ca/).
Members also participate, either individually or in groups, in many other charity events as well, including the Motorcycle Ride For Dad, the Ride For Sight, and the Cruise Don’t Bruise Ride (support victims of violence against women, children and seniors).
During the winter months, in addition to our regular dinner meetings held on the second Wednesday of every month at Al's Diner, 834 Clyde Ave. Ottawa, dinner at 6 pm, meeting at 7 pm), we encourage our members to come out and have fun and participate in several other club fun activities such as a bowling night, a Christmas party and other social events.
New members are always welcome. Please contact us for details.
We look forward to seeing you all again in 2014.
